This course provides officers with the skills to operate Automatic Radar Plotting Aid (ARPA) equipment effectively for collision avoidance and safe navigation. Covers radar observation, target tracking, and interpretation of ARPA data in accordance with STCW requirements.

  • Apply collision avoidance regulations (COLREGS)

  • Conduct radar watch-keeping duties competently

Entry Requirements

  • Valid STCW BST certificate
  • Minimum OOW or equivalent sea service
  • Medical fitness certificate
